Sarah Vittone, MSN, RN, MA

Sarah Vittone is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nursing at Georgetown University. She is a CNS in Pediatric Nursing with over 22 years of clinical experience. She teaches in the undergraduate and graduate nursing program. Sarah is affiliated with the Georgetown-Howard University- Clinical and Translational Sciences Award as a Research Participant Advocate. She is involved in human protection, protocol safety and research ethics in her position there. Sarah is an ethics consultant for the Georgetown University Medical Center as an associate with Georgetown Center for Clinical Bioethics, where she also does clinical ethics rounds and staff training. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI), the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities (ASBH) and Public Responsibility in Medicine and Research (PRIM&R). She received her BSN (88), MSN (89) and MA (94) at the University of Virginia. Her areas of interest include life span development, surrogacy and ethical decision making. Sarah is the Vice President (2011-2013) for Tau Chapter and through her recent global interaction in health care ethics is inspired to support the vision of STTI through Tau chapter by supporting our community engagement locally and globally
through service and learning.

Katherine Scafide, PhD, RN, SANE-A/P, FNE-A/P
Katherine Scafide is an Assistant Professor at Georgetown University (GU) School of Nursing and Health Studies teaching in the undergraduate program. With a background in emergency nursing, her current research interests and practice is focused on forensic nursing in particular wound identification and documentation. Dr. Scafide is nationally certified as a sexual assault nurse examiner and practices locally at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in the Forensic Medical Unit. She also does forensic nurse consulting. She obtained her BSN in 2000 from GU at which point she was inducted in STTI. She then went on to obtain her CNS with a forensic focus (2005) followed by her PhD (2012) from Johns Hopkins University. As Vice President (2012-2014) of the Tau Chapter, Dr. Scafide supports the mission of STTI by improving the expertise and development of forensic and general practice nurses through her scholarship, education, and research.

Colleen Sanders, MSN, RN, FNP

Colleen Sanders graduated from Georgetown University with her BSN. She worked in the Urgent Care Center at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, New York, while obtaining her masters degree specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). Since 2008, she has held a faculty position at Georgetown University where she teaches in both the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs. She travels across the country to complete site visits for FNP students as a Clinical Faculty Advisor. As an FNP, she continues to work clinically in the local area. As an advanced practice nurse she has experience in retail health and pediatrics and is currently practicing in primary care. With a strong interest in health promotion and disease prevention, she is currently pursing her Masters in Public Health through University of Illinois Chicago's online program.

Lauren Wood is the secretary of the Tau Chapter. Lauren graduated with a BSN in Nursing from Georgetown in 2008 and graduated from The George Washington University with an MSN in Nursing Leadership and Management in 2011. She is also currently enrolled in the Trauma, Emergency, Critical Care ACNP Post-Masters' program at the University of Maryland Baltimore. She works in the Emergency Department at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital, and she has served as a Clinical Instructor at Georgetown University.

Susan Coleman is a clinical faculty member at Georgetown University School of Nursing and Health Studies. Her specialty areas are Public Health Nursing and Vulnerable Populations. She received her BSN from the University of Michigan and MPH from The Johns Hopkins University. In addition to clinical teaching, Susan maintains an independent consulting practice. She is Chair-Elect of the Public Health Nursing Section of the American Public Health Association (APHA) in addition to Chair-Elect of the Quad Council of Public Health Nursing Organizations.

Sandy Bobba is an Instructor in the Department of Nursing at Georgetown University. She has been a clinical instructor at Georgetown University since 2008 and teaches in the undergraduate program. Her areas of interest include Obstetrics, Women’s Health, Public Health, and Health Care Policy. Her nursing experience includes pediatrics, Family Centered Care, Labor and Delivery, Emergency nursing, clinical case management, and academic nursing education. Ms. Bobba is the current Graduate Counselor of the Tau Chapter. She received a BSN degree from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, and a MS degree in Nursing Administration from the University of Maryland, Baltimore.

Margaret Granitto, MSN, RN
Margaret Harvey Granitto is an Instructor in the Department of Nursing at Georgetown
University. She is a Certified Nurse Practitioner-Adult with over 25 years of experience
in clinical practice. Clinical areas of interest include medical cardiology and gerontology.
Ms. Granitto is the current Leadership Succession Chair of the Tau Chapter. She
received her BSN from the Georgetown University, her Masters in Nursing from The
Catholic University of America, her Post Masters NP Certificate from The Johns
Hopkins University, and is currently a candidate for a PhD in Nursing from The Catholic
University of America. She has published in The Advanced Emergency Nursing Journal
and Nurse Practitioner.

Dr. Bultemeier is an assistant professor at Georgetown University.
She obtained her BSN from Cornell University, her Master's at
Vanderbilt University, and her PhD at the University of Tennessee.
She teaches Advanced Research and Advanced Ethics in the online MSN
program at Georgetown. She is a Board certified Family Nurse
Practitioner and has combined private practice with nursing education
for over 20 years. Her research interested are focused on women's
health and health in developing countries.
